The galleries (arcades) of the Palais-Royal

The six-storey buildings that surround the gardens on three sides have galleries on the ground floor containing shops and restaurants The garden galleries were constructed 1781–1784 to the designs of the Victor Louis. On the west side is the Montpensier Gallery, on the north, the Beaujolais Gallery, and to the east, the Valois Gallery. Traversing the south side of the garden are two parallel colonnades, remnants of the former covered Galerie d’Orléans (demolished in 1930). They stand between the Court of Honor and the garden.

I was last in Paris in April of 2022 and took these shots. I am only now getting my posts posted. Bad, bad girl. Sorry. But, never late than never. I am itching to get back to Paris soon!
