If you read my blog, you know I’m attracted to the past. When I’m living in Europe, I live mid-way between the present and past and every day presents me with treasures of the past that fire my imagination and give me something to think and talk about. You’ve seen my pictures in my posts.

When I’m living in Denver, I’m living in the present, gasping for air not because of the altitude, but because I can’t get my doses of the past, so necessary for me to be healthy. So, when I’m walking around, doing my thing, these are the moments I can capture.

And I think to myself, what were you doing in 1956 and 1966 when these sidewalks were laid in Denver? And I have answers. I was dreaming of my future life when I would be able to live in the past and the present at the same time. And I count the days until I can get back to Europe and the past/present at the same time. That’s my healthy balance. And the days are getting fewer.
