This is the season I like the best and Florence glories in the autumn sunshine. Here are some views to show my point!
Zeffirelli Foundation, Florence
Franco Zeffirelli was a golden son of Florence, who left an astonishing artistic legacy behind, in film, tv, opera and more.
His foundation is housed in a beautiful palazzo on Piazza San Firenze in Florence and I recently had the opportunity to enjoy the collections on a gorgeous September afternoon. The exhibits did not disappoint.

The Zeffirelli museum in Florence currently has a large gallery devoted to an impressively immersive experience of Dante’s journey to hell.

The gorgeous Fra Angelico Annunciation altarpiece in Cortona
For me, a trip to Cortona is a pleasure. It’s a charming little walled town sitting on the top of a hill in Tuscany. It is interesting architecturally, has some nice restaurants and interesting shops.
But a trip to Cortona is a must for any art lover. One of the most beautiful altarpieces by Fra Angelico resides in the fine, small Diocesan Museum in Cortona. Here it is:
