If you know, you know.

If you know, you know.

Here’s the lake I have the privilege of calling home for the moment. I’ve posted pictures recently from my friend’s cabin, but I think its fun to see the outline of this pretty lake.

May your sunlight start lengthening!

Living on a lake, waiting for an Italian Visa is conducive to reading, I have found! If I can’t be in Italy, at least I can read about it! And time travel as well. What could be better than that?

Loved this non-fiction book. Highly recommend.

This book is written in a different style than an ordinary novel. I very much enjoyed.
And today I get to begin:

Update: I finished all 3 books. If you are interested in reading them, I’d suggest reading Disobedient first and then Blood, Water, Paint. The book on Renaissance women can be enjoyed at any time. I loved all 3!
They are so cute!

Sundown. Reflected at the lake. December. Stunning.

I spotted a cardinal around my bird feeder and I went gaga! I haven’t seen one of these vividly colored birds in 35 years! I love them!

And I grabbed my phone and took as many pics and videos as I could before it flew away.

I was delighted when I spotted the same bird/his or her cousin or sibling or…who knows? the following morning.

I’m no birding expert, but I never see a cardinal feeding in the afternoons.

Not where or what I expected for December of this year! The events of this whole year have been unexpected. But, making the best of what is still a blessing nonetheless! and grateful for beautiful friendships that have helped me along the way!
