I saw this today on a park bench and loved the message and the impulse to create it. Whose love inspired it, I’d love to know!


Never forget that we stand on the shoulders of so many amazing women. This picture is just a light-hearted reminder that they did it in corsets and leather soled shoes on ice. If you give it some thought, you’ll recognize they did that and a whole lot more. Thanks to all these brave women ancestors.

In Florence they will be celebrating today with sprigs of bright yellow blossomed mimosa.
These crocus aren’t growing in my garden, but in someone else’s in my neighborhood. I stalk beauty wherever I find it.


But then, of course, I don’t live here full time and many of my original garden plantings have died over the years I was living in Italy. It was a tough trade-off, but I made the right decision!

I adore the periwinkle blue of the vinca ground cover. And I like the name “periwinkle.”

Spring is slow to arrive in Denver and March is our snowiest month. It necessary that I stalk beauty whenever and wherever I can. Thanks for understanding me.
They are always the first plants to bloom in the spring in my garden.

I consider the blooms to be a greeting from my mom.😊 The blossoms are small but mighty.
