All of autumn in one plant

Almost unreal
The beauty I see on a normal daily walk this time of year is almost unreal!

It’s looking scarier around here

The Italian plays by Shakespeare
The best first! Shopping at Takashimaya.

At my request, Rudy spent some time on Sunday in the kimono department of the Takashimaya store. These were the few photos and one video he sent me. I’m hoping I can get him to return and spend a few hours looking at the various components, fabrics, and finished kimono.
Because this is just a tantalizing taste! I want more, much more! And details!

Takashimaya department store, Tokyo

At my request, Rudy returned to Ginza this past weekend and spent an afternoon exploring the 3 buildings of the famous Takashimaya department store. Oh, how I wish I could have been with him!

Above and below is a model of the original store, created in Legos!

The artist who created the Lego version of the store is pictured above.
Like me, Rudy was fascinated by the staff of the store, dressed as they are in uniforms and performing functions that are a throw back to the 1950s in America. In Japan, courtesy never goes out of style.
There will be much more to come from Rudy’s last escapade, so stay tuned. Thanks for sharing Rudy!
Villa Giulia and the Etruscans
Superb video on my latest field of discovery. I was last in this museum in the 1980s. I’d say it’s time to return! Can’t wait!
Something beautiful to start your day!
A slow motion scene of the play of light on the water in Venice.
And, now at a normal speed.
Venice! What else can I say?
Strolling and looking around

Someone with Italian leanings owns this car!

Both red and black cherry tomatoes grown in the neighborhood. I have tomato envy.

Always keep out outlook both up and down. I’ve never seen this sidewalk imprint in Denver before.

It’s pumpkin season again!

Halloween is coming.

I love capturing sunbeams!

Fall-blooming crocus. I used to have these in my garden, but over the years they disappeared.

Last vestiges of summer flowers. I can’t imagine the water it took to keep these impatiens looking so robust in our dry climate.

A more modest but still lovely entrance.
