Florence through the ages

Here’s a Florentine scene from today.  I think it’s safe to say that this scene would be essentially unchanged (with the exception of the fabric covering the scaffolding)  for the last millennium.  Kind of mind boggling, non e vero?

  1. It continues to blow my mind that some cities have remained almost unchanged for centuries! Siena is one, Venice is another. And the fact that the Colosseum is still standing in Rome is breath-taking! Lovely photo!
