Monterchi and Piero della Francesca

I recently had the pleasure of checking off a bucket list item! It was to go on the so-called Piero della Francesca trail, starting in Monterchi, going on to Sansepolcro, and ending in Arezzo.
These photos show interesting places in the small hilltop village of Monterchi. We are still in Tuscany, but only just!

    I will be discussing the beautiful paintings by Piero in a future post.
