On a recent visit to Rome I was delighted to see this pink confection hanging from a lion’s head doorknocker. I’ve love these pink or baby blue creations that announce the arrival of a new life in the home behind them.

This one is elaborate and seems built to last for a lifetime as a memory of the momentous occasion. It says, “Welcome Noemi” with the word welcome ending in an a for the feminine.
